NOW: Susan Hoffman has been the Associate Athletic Director and Senior Women’s Administrator at Brockport since 1995.
A 1984 SUNY Cortland graduate, Hoffman worked at Upper Arlington School district in Columbus, Ohio while completing her master’s degree at The Ohio State University in 1985. At Upper Arlington, she coached girls’ soccer at the middle school and high school levels. She was also the ski club and yearbook advisor. Hoffman was the program coordinator at Honda of America fitness center from 1985 – 1987, prior to coming to the College in the fall of 1987.
Since coming to Brockport, Hoffman has had many responsibilities within the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics, including NCAA compliance and eligibility, scheduling coordinator, box office coordinator, work study supervisor, home event manager, official’s liaison, travel and lodging coordinator and athletic weight room liaison. Hoffman currently holds the titles of Senior Women’s Administrator, NCAA Compliance and Eligibility coordinator, as well as Champs Life skills coordinator and Student Athlete Advisory Committee advisor.
Hoffman is responsible for developing the Champs Life skills program and Senior Athlete recognition luncheon. Hoffman has been honored by her peers as the Service Award recipient for the NYSWCAA organization as well as the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association East Administrator of the Year twice. She is the first two-time female president of the SUNYAC, serving in 1999-2000 and 2008-2009. She was the executive director of the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference for 8 years.
She is currently serving on the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship committee. She has also served at the chairperson for the NCAA Women’s Soccer and Lacrosse Championships, as well as the Memberships Committee. Susan also served as the executive director of the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference for 8 years.
As an adjunct professor, Susan teaches golf and the Student-Athlete Freshman seminar class.
