THEN: Genie came in as a freshman fullback and was moved to the forward line and had one assist.
NOW: In 1982 Genie became employed with Advanced Digital Communications Corporation on Long Island as an Executive Secretary, and was eventually promoted to Director of Operations.
“Left Long Island and soccer behind in 2006 when my husband and I moved to New Bern, North Carolina to enjoy a life of retirement.
Playing lots of tennis and have become an avid golfer. Now instead of taking soccer trips with my past teammates, I go on golf outings with the lady golfers in my community. Still and always will have that competitive, athletic spirit. Life is good.”
Soccer memory: At practices when Leslie Archer and Cydney Archer would run towards each other, jump up in the air and bump their chests together, and then fall down on the ground. They would crack me up!
